The hokutolite stones used for the bath are made of a very rare mineral that is only found in the Tamagawa hot springs (a specified Special Natural Monument in Akita), as well as the Hokutolite hot spring in Taiwan. The stones are said to have medicinal benefits to cure all types of disease due to it’s hormesis effects that improves the body’s immune system.
